Laptop/Mobile Device Configuration
Encrypted wireless service (osuwireless) is available to all Fisher faculty, staff and students. The new 802.11n wireless network features complete coverage of Fisher, Mason, Gerlach, Schoenbaum, Pfahl and The Blackwell, as well as most of OSU main and regional campuses. As an OSU student or employee, you can use osuwireless once you’ve activated your Ohio State Username (lastname.#) at my.osu.edu.
The AT&T public wireless network is available for all visitors and guests
OSU Wireless guest accounts are also available through the Fisher ITS Helpdesk.
Connecting your laptop to the wired network
The wired network is available to all Fisher faculty, staff, graduate and full-time undergraduate students. Fixed network jacks are available in all tiered classrooms and most public gathering spaces within the Fisher complex.
The registration process requires the MAC Address of the physical network (Ethernet) adapter to gain access to the wired network only.
The process to find the MAC Address varies with the Operating System. Refer to these instructions:
Register your laptop with the online self-registration form to gain access to the wired network.
