Fisher Information Technology Services hosts and operates the Fisher e-mail accounts exclusively for Fisher-affiliated faculty, staff, lecturers, and PhD and graduate students. At this time, students enrolled in the Fisher undergraduate program do not receive a Fisher e-mail account.

Fisher e-mail accounts (lastname_#@fisher.osu.edu) are different from the OSU e-mail accounts (lastname.#@osu.edu) hosted on systems operated by OSU Office of the Chief Information Officer (oCIO). We recommend that you forward your OSU e-mail account to your Fisher e-mail account. Refer to the E-mail Forwarding page for instructions.

Key features and benefits of your Fisher e-mail account include:

  • Integrated server-side anti-virus scanning
  • Much larger e-mail quota
  • Access to integrated e-mail, calendar, contact, and task management
  • Access to college-wide address book

Establishing a Fisher E-mail Account

Faculty, staff, and PhD students must request a Fisher network account, which includes a Fisher e-mail account. A completed and signed account request form can be obtained in 320 Mason Hall or at your department's front-desk - or complete the online account form. Once an account request form is received and processed by Information Technology Services, a printed account form with your Fisher username and password will be delivered to your department's office.

Graduate student account creation is automatic once a student has been enrolled for classes and ITS receives the appropriate information from OSU. Normally, graduate students receive their account forms during their program's orientation.

Account Name Changes

First you must change your username with OSU's Office of Information Technology (OIT) at 614-688-HELP or 8help@osu.edu. Once they have provided you with your new lastname.#, email ITS at helpdesk@fisher.osu.edu.
