Anti Virus and Spyware

It is imperative that all external devices that connect to the Fisher Network are threat free. The Ohio State University has information technology policies designed to protect the integrity of Ohio State data and resources.

Minimum Computer Security Standard (MCSS)

The OSU Office of the CIO has developed the Minimum Computer Security Standard (MCSS). Any OSU-owned or personal device that connects to the OSU Network (OSUNet), and by extension the Fisher fixed and wireless networks, must be in compliance with the MCSS. Any device found not to be compliant is subject to removal from the network.

Please contact the ITS Helpdesk for assistance to help determine whether a laptop or workstation is in compliance with the MCSS.
