Getting your BuckID
The BuckID office is located at room 3040 in the new Ohio Union building, 1739 North High Street
for primary and secondary ID documents match those of the State of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.Orientation students
- You need to bring a photo ID (driver's license, state issued ID card, or passport) and your student profile. The student profile will be given to you when you check in for orientation. There is no charge for your first BuckID. New Students (not attending orientation)
- You must be registered for at least one class during the current term to qualify for a student ID. After the 14th day of the term your fees must be paid. Using your BuckID
BuckID has many purposes. Primarily, your BuckID is your official university ID. You will need this for changing passwords, entrance into restricted areas such as the computer labs and checking out library books. Your BuckID is also a debit account that is accepted as a form of payment at many locations on and off campus. Further information can be found at the BuckID website
All students of The Ohio State University are assigned a unique username. The username is your last name and a number (e.g., smith.99). This will give you access to Library Services, public computing sites, Carmen classes, registrar information and many other things. If you do not have your OSU account, you may activate it at OIT’s Account Management Site
. OSU requires that passwords be changed at least every 90 days. More information can be found at http://my.osu.edu
FCOB username is based on your OSU username with the dot “ . ” replaced with an underscore “ _ ” . Your FCOB user account is used to access various services including computer labs and student web services. If you have not recieved a Fisher account already, the easiest way to obtain one is to use your BuckID at one of the kiosks in the Mason Hall labs or at the front desk of ITS in 320 Mason Hall. Where are the labs?
Fisher College of Business maintains three student computing laboratories, including two large labs for undergraduate students
in Mason Hall 005 and 010. Each laboratory is staffed by a minimum of one student proctor.

What are the lab policies?
The Fisher equipment and network is to be used for educational purposes only. Activity involving the swapping of MP3s and the use of non-licensed software is strictly prohibited.
