Joddi Giacobbi is the Executive Director of Information Technology for The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business where she is responsible for the college-wide management of information technologies in the service of teaching, research, and administration. Joddi has more than 30 years of experience in information technology and throughout her career has held various positions within IT. Most recently, Joddi worked in the Office of the Chief Information Officer of the Ohio State University where she worked in project management supporting the Student Information System implementation project, the Quarters to Semesters Conversion project, and Financial Application projects. Joddi received a Master’s degree from Franklin University and has her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Erin joined IT Services in January 2013 as Program Assistant. She is a Certified Mediator with the Franklin County Court system and has previously worked at Microsoft, Ogilvy & Mather and Delta Gamma Fraternity in marketing and account management roles. Erin received a BA in International Studies and a BA in German from Miami University, along with graduating from Capital University Law School in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Project Management
Kelley has 25+ years of experience dealing with many facets of Information Technology. Throughout her career, Kelley has acquired extensive knowledge in the areas of project management, business analysis and quality assurance as well as administrative management. Kelley has been involved in many major project initiatives at diverse companies such as Cardinal Health, W3R Consulting, First Data Corporation and Bank One. Kelley received her BBA with an emphasis in Computer Systems from the University of Toledo.
In her role as the Associate Director of Quality Assurance, Carol manages and oversees all aspects of the Quality Assurance process for ITS. She's also instrumental in the support of ITS Application Development and in the ITS user base systems. Carol Sharp returned to Fisher in 2007, after serving as EDI Manager at UnionTools for nine years. Holding a degree in CIS from Eastern Kentucky University, Carol brings more than 25 years of Information Technology experience.
Application Development and Support
Krish has more than 20 years of experience in information technology and throughout his career has held various technical and management positions. Krish joins us after having spent several years as a Senior Manager with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, and prior to that he was a Director of Application Development with AT&T/ Lucent Technologies. Krish also has been a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering here at Ohio State. Krish received a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Madras University in Madras, India, as well as a Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Nick joined ITS in January of 2012 as a database developer. He graduated from OSU with a degree in Computer Science in 2009. He has worked in IT for 10 years in various roles that included web design and development, database design and development, and network administration. In his spare time, Nick volunteers for a non-profit that teaches Computer Science topics to high school students.
Damian joined ITS in December 2011 as a Web Application Developer. Prior to starting with The Fisher College of Business, Damian worked as an entrepreneur developing both large and small scale web applications to support a number of businesses in Ohio. As an independent consultant, Damian gained expertise in many areas of web design and development. He continues to seek out opportunities to enhance his knowledge as a web application developer.
Rob joined Fisher in May 2012. Previously, Rob worked as a Web Developer for 14 years for Micro Center. In his previous role, Rob developed various custom enhancements and integrated external solutions for Micro Center’s public (eCommerce) retail website. He was also instrumental in creating many features for the company’s intranet.
Desmond joined Fisher in 2007, bringing several years of database and application development experience from various industries and companies. Prior to joining the college, Desmond worked with Bravo Development, Inc. as a programmer analyst. Desmond holds a Chemical Engineering degree from University of Dayton.
Educational Technologies
Eva Bradshaw leads the team of technology professionals supporting the college's use of video conferencing, on-line course development, and technology in the classroom. She has more than 20 years of experience in information technology at Ohio State in a variety of roles. Eva received a bachelor’s degree and two Masters degrees from Ohio State, the most recent in 2000 from the former College of Education related to instructional technology.
Randy supports faculty in the areas of online learning and instructional design. He assists faculty with Carmen and in strategies to deliver distance learning.
Jacob works with faculty on instructional design projects to adapt courses and pedagogy for the web, videoconferencing, and other technology-supported course delivery. He also assists faculty with Carmen, Adobe Connect, and teaching with technology in the classroom. Jacob has worked in an instructional design role for The University of Akron and Coastal Carolina University. He has a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and a Certificate in eLearning from The University of Akron. Jacob is also a Quality Matters peer reviewer.
Doug produces video content for Fisher, for both instructional and marketing purposes. He also provides technical support for videoconferencing, lecture capture and web conferencing. Prior to joining Fisher in September 2009, Doug worked for 12 years with OSU's Office of Information Technology as a Video Producer/Director, handling video production, videoconferencing and web streaming projects and events.
Christiana Cordiano has been cultivating faculty, staff, and student education at The Ohio State University for 6 years. She began working with the Office of Human Resources, documenting business processes and training HRPs on the PeopleSoft system. For the past 4 years she has held the position of Instructional Development Specialist with Fisher College of Business. In this role, she is responsible for the production and post-production execution of online video content and works closely with faculty to achieve their pedagogical goals. In addition, Christiana is responsible for technical support for all of the faculty and instructors at Fisher who use the course management system, Carmen, in their courses, as well as supporting the students who are enrolled in business distance education courses. Prior to joining Fisher, Christiana worked with computer-based training providers Pathlore Software and Cognitive Arts in consultant roles in both the US and in Italy. Christiana holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Italian from The Ohio State University and has completed graduate coursework in instructional design from Boise State University.
Roberto provides continuous design, installation, upgrade and maintenance of Fisher’s classroom technology and systems. His duties include research and development of new technologies and equipment, installation and programming, classroom and learning space design and setup, component level troubleshooting and repair and support for video conference plant, studio and services. Prior to joining Fisher in December 2008, Roberto worked as network administrator for The Alpha Group Agency in Cleveland for eight years. During this time he also worked for A Sound Alternative in Cleveland and Columbus where audio and video design and programming became meshed with his fervor for computers and electronic equipment. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Paul came to Fisher from Micro Electronics, Inc. where he worked for more than four years in various technical positions. He was responsible for server maintenance and other duties with major companies throughout Ohio. Paul was later moved into a supervisory position overseeing both in-house and contracted technicians. During this time, Paul developed a training program for his technicians, taking on the responsibility of preparing them for various technical certifications. For his efforts in the area of training, Paul was moved to the home office staff as a technical writer and trainer. Paul developed all technical manuals and documentation for the company and was sent around the country certifying other trainers throughout the company's seven divisions.
Cathy came to Fisher in 2009 as the Learning Labs Technician where she supervises a team of students and maintains the equipment in three student computer labs. She also provides evening classroom support for Schoenbaum and Gerlach Halls. Cathy graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science and has worked as a programmer for a national company located in Columbus. She began her work at Ohio State in 2001 in the College of Education working for the Center for Special Needs Population as their Information Technology Systems Specialist. In this position, she supported the technical needs of 20 campuses, 25 remote computer users, and provided backup network support for the servers and maintenance of several databases. In 2004, she joined the College of Veterinary Medicine where she provided support for more than 300 computers and other equipment in the Veterinary Biosciences Department.
Stephanie manages the behavioral lab space at the Fisher College of Business. Stephanie helps to facilitate various studies which are run by faculty and doctoral students at Fisher. Prior to joining Fisher, Stephanie worked in the research and counseling fields for the non-profit and university sectors. Stephanie received her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in counseling in 2007 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She attended OSU for her undergraduate degree.
Tom provides a point of first contact for any problems that instructors are having in Fisher complex classrooms. He provides training on using classroom technology in the Schoenbaum and Gerlach Halls, and provides immediate troubleshooting services. Tom also provides support for other A/V needs throughout the Fisher Complex. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University
Network Operations and Information Security
Brian serves as the lead technical contact for the college. Before being promoted to the position of network administrator in 1999, Brian worked with the college as the Novell Administrator responsible for all Novell Netware servers and computer lab management systems. Brian has been a key player in the contact and negotiations of partnerships between the college and technology companies. His major projects have included design and implementation of the network infrastructure throughout Fisher's six-building complex. Before coming to Fisher, Brian served in the U.S. Navy specializing in shore-based communications systems, including point-to-point land-line, RF, and satellite systems for secure voice and data communication.
Kyle joined IT Services in November 2012 as Associate Director of Network Operations. He is responsible for the Network Operations Team that manages the network and server infrastructure for Fisher. Kyle graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2003 and an MBA in 2012. Prior to coming to Fisher, Kyle worked as a Network Engineer for the Department of Student Life.
Jimmy came to ITS in January 2012 as a Learning Environments Systems Engineer. Now serving in the role of Systems Developer / Engineer, he is responsible for implementation and maintenance of servers at Fisher. Jimmy holds a BA in Geography from The Ohio State University. Prior to Fisher, he served as a Systems Engineer at the Office of the CIO.
Brett joined the Network Operations team in April 2013 as a Systems Developer/Engineer where he supports the network and server environments. Prior to Fisher he worked in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at OSU as a Systems Specialist. His education includes a BS in Computer Engineering Technology from DeVry University.
Support Services
John is the Director of Support Services for The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business where he is responsible for the ITS Helpdesk and the instructional technology environments, providing support for all Fisher technology-related issues and future growth. John graduated from Franklin University in 2005 with a BS in Information Technology. Prior to coming to Fisher, John served as the Director of User Support Services for Zane State College.
Patti joined IT Services in 2004 and holds a degree in Computer Engineering. Before coming to Fisher, she worked as a programmer in process control at Techneglas, a manufacturing facility in Columbus.
Rachel joined IT Services in 2007 and holds a degree in Sociology and post graduate courses in programming and HTML. Before coming to IT Services, she worked at Fisher in the Dean's Office and External Relations supporting Maximizer and other projects. Before moving to Ohio she was employed for 10 years at Northwestern University where she provided computer support for the athletics department.
Herman joined Fisher College of Business in December 2007 after 21 years at Union Tools in an IT role consisting of desktop and server support, as well as backup network administration. In his current role as a support technician, he performs much of the “hands on” work on desktop and laptop PCs, including imaging, troubleshooting and hardware replacement, as well as backup classroom support.
Connor joins us from Cardinal Health where he was an Analyst, End User Support. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton in Sports Management, and is currently attending Franklin University where he is expected to receive a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Technology this fall. |
