Administration
- David Blum, CIO, Executive Director of Information Technology
David Blum is the Chief Information Officer and Executive Director of Information Technology for the Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business where he is responsible for the college-wide orchestration and management of information technologies in the service of teaching, research and administration.
Prior to this appointment, he served as the Chief Information Officer for Zane State College, in addition to serving in a variety of information technology planning, project management and application development related leadership positions at SBC. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Systems Management from Ohio University and has completed graduate work in Business Administration at Roosevelt University and Marketing and Communications at Franklin University. - Elaine Vanfossen, Business Operations Administrator
Elaine is responsible for managing fiscal and administrative functions in support of projects and operations within the Office of Information Technology Services. Specifically, she plans, organizes and manages the day-to-day business operations of the department, including budget planning and management, procurement and asset management, human resource administration and compliance with administrative and fiscal policies and procedures. Elaine also recommends computing equipment for college faculty, staff and students, negotiates pricing with vendors and reviews and processes software license agreements.

- Paul Fannin, Support Specialist
Paul Fannin came to Fisher from Micro Electronics, Inc. where he worked for more than four years in various technical positions. He was responsible for server maintenance and other duties with major companies throughout Ohio. Paul was later moved into a supervisory position overseeing both in-house and contracted technicians. During this time Paul developed a training program for his technicians, taking on the responsibility of preparing them for various technical certifications. For his efforts in the area of training, Paul was moved on to the home office staff as a technical writer and trainer. Paul developed all technical manuals and documentation for the company and was sent around the country certifying other trainers throughout the companies' seven divisions.
Paul has worked for Fisher as the Helpdesk Supervisor since 2000. In addition to his many duties here at the college, Paul serves as a freelance technical writer and does consulting with various central Ohio businesses. - Herman Scurlock, Support Technician

- Mandy Dunn, Support Specialist
Mandy Dunn is a 1999 graduate of Ohio University. She comes to the Fisher from Twin City Hospital in Dennison, Ohio where she built the information system from the ground up. Mandy now applies her talents for the college in Windows administration, working closely with Steve Terrell.
- Patti Hambley, Support Specialist
Patti joined IT Services in 2004 and holds a degree in Computer Engineering. Before coming to Fisher she worked as a programmer in process control at Techneglas, a manufacturing facility in Columbus.
- Rachel Lavender, Support Technician
Rachel joined IT Services in 2007 and holds a degree in Sociology and post graduate courses in programming and html. Before coming to IT Services she worked at Fisher in the Dean's office and External Relations supporting Maximizer and other projects. Before moving to Ohio she was employed for 10 years at Northwestern University where she provided computer support for the athletics department.
- Brian Wilson, Principal Systems Developer / Engineer
Brian Wilson serves as the lead technical contact for the Fisher. Before being promoted to the position of network administrator in 1999, Brian worked with the college as the Novell Administrator responsible for all Novell Netware servers and computer lab management systems. Brian Wilson has been a key player in the contact and negotiations of partnerships between the college and Key Technology Companies. Brian Wilson's major projects have included design and implementation of the network infrastructure throughout Fisher's six complex.
Before coming to Fisher, Brian Wilson served in the U.S. Navy specializing in shore based communications systems including point-to-point landline, RF and satellite systems for secure voice and data communication. - Nick Poolos, Systems Developer
Nick has been a part of The Ohio-State University since 1999 where he started in Office of Information Technology as a Network/Software Engineer. In 2001 Nick joined the Fisher as a network engineer and Unix administrator.
- Steve Terrell, Systems Developer / Engineer
Steve joined IT Services in 2005 to serve as the lead Microsoft Systems Administrator for the group. Prior to joining the team, Steve managed a group of highly technical individuals for a global company specializing in systems integration and process measurement and control solutions. Steve has also served in the U.S. Air Force specializing in Electronic Warfare Systems as well as in the Air National Guard specializing in Air Traffic Control Radar Systems.
- Matt Soter, Systems Developer / Administrator
- Cathy Gessler, Support Technician
Cathy came to Fisher in 2009 as the Computer Lab Manager where she supervises a team of students and maintains the equipment in three student computer labs. She also provides evening classroom support for Schoenbaum and Gerlach halls.
Cathy graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science and has worked as a programmer for a national company located in Columbus. She began her work at Ohio State in 2001 in the College of Education working for the Center for Special Needs Population as their Information Technology Systems Specialist. In this position, she supported the technical needs of 20 campus and 25 remote computer users and also provided backup network support for the servers and maintenance of several databases. In 2004, she joined the College of Veterinary Medicine where she provided support for more than 300 computers and other equipment in the Veterinary Biosciences Department.
Database Development & Support
- Carol Sharp, Director of Database Development and Support
Carol Sharp returned to Fisher in 2007, after serving as EDI Manager at UnionTools for nine years. Holding a degree in CIS, Carol brings more than 20 years of Information Technology experience.
- Michael Roush, Database Developer/Administrator
Mike graduated from Devry University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems. He joined Fisher in November of 2007 to take on the role of Database Developer and Administrator. Before joining Fisher, Mike worked as a software engineer for the Graduate Admissions Department at Ohio State developing business applications.
- Desmond Wong, Database Developer
Desmond joined Fisher in 2007, bringing several years of database and application development experience from various industries and companies. Prior to joining the college, Desmond worked with Bravo Development, Inc. as a programmer analyst. Desmond holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from University of Dayton.
Educational Technologies
- Eva Bradshaw, Director of Educational Technologies
Eva Bradshaw is the Director of Educational Technologies for Fisher. In this role, she leads the team of technology professionals supporting the college use of video conferencing, on-line course development and technology in the classroom. She has more than 20 years of experience in information technology at Ohio State in a variety of roles. Bradshaw received a bachelor’s degree and two Masters degrees from Ohio State, the most recent in 2000 from the former College of Education related to instructional technology.
- Randy Spears, Associate Director of Educational Technologies
Randy supports faculty in the areas of online learning and instructional design. He assists faculty with Carmen and in strategies to deliver distance learning.
Randy is a graduate of Ohio State University and started his career in the College of Agriculture working in satellite distance learning. From there, Randy work at both the University of Wisconsin and Purdue University. He attained a Master’s degree in Education Technology at Purdue University and supervised efforts in satellite distance learning, videoconferencing and online learning. From there, Randy worked for the private consulting firm, Blackwell Consulting Inc., and then worked at Ashland University. At Ashland, he served as the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology.
- Christiana Cordiano, Instructional Development Specialist
Role: Christiana Cordiano has been cultivating faculty, staff and student education at the Ohio State University for 6 years. She began working with the Office of Human Resources, documenting business processes and training HRPs on the PeopleSoft system. For the past 4 years she has held the position of Instructional Technology Specialist with Fisher College of Business. In this role, she is responsible for the production and post-production execution of online video content and works closely with faculty to achieve their pedagogical goals. In addition, Christiana is responsible for Technical Support for all of the faculty and instructors at Fisher who use the content-management system, Carmen, in their courses as well as supporting the students who are enrolled in business distance education courses.
Bio: Christiana Cordiano is the Instructional Technology Specialist for Educational Technologies. Prior to joining Fisher, Christiana worked in the for-profit space with computer-based training providers Pathlore Software and Cognitive Arts in consultant roles in both the US and in Italy. Christiana holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Italian from the Ohio State University and has completed graduate coursework in instructional design from Boise State University.

- Marc Menhart, Instructional Technology Specialist
Role: Marc provides systems upgrade design and technical support for videoconferencing and classroom services in the college.
Bio: Marc joined the Fisher College of Business in the summer of 2008.
As a full time employee of the college Marc performs such day to day duties as management and responsibility for all video conference activities web streaming activities. Andy supports the college video server, video conference electronic plant, video editing services, and oversight of classroom systems maintenance.
Marc graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to coming to Fisher, Marc had been working as a consultant JD Power and Associates for the past three years and half years. As an undergraduate, Marc worked for Educational Technologies.
- Roberto Colon, Instructional Technology Specialist
Roberto provides continuous design, installation, upgrade and maintenance of Fisher’s classroom technology and systems. His duties include research and development of new technologies and equipment, Crestron setup, installation and programming, classroom and learning space design and setup, component level troubleshooting and repair and support for video conference plant, studio and services.
Prior to Fisher in December 2008, Roberto worked as network administrator for The Alpha Group Agency in Cleveland for eight years. During this time he also worked for A Sound Alternative in Cleveland and Columbus where audio and video design and programming became meshed with his fervor for computers and electronic equipment. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. - Tom Wei, Classroom Support Specialist
Role: Tom provides a point of first contact for any problems that instructors are having in their classrooms, in the Fisher Complex. He provides training on using the classroom technology in the Schoenbaum and Gerlach classrooms, and an immediate troubleshooting service for in-class technology problems in these rooms. He also supervises our Classroom Services student staff, who assist with this mission. Tom can also provide a limited support role for other miscellaneous A/V needs throughout the Fisher Complex, and again provide a point of first contact for general A/V needs questions in the Business College.

Web Services
- Shaun Holloway, Director of Web Marketing & Development
Shaun Holloway ensures that delivery of organizational messages via Internet systems are designed to drive attendance and revenue, as well as communicate the mission and impact to generate involvement and support. Shaun leads the Web Services team in the strategic planning, sales, marketing, and innovation activities for the college's Internet presence and email marketing initiatives.
Shaun is the co-founder of the Columbus Social Media Café with WOSU Public Media, founder of the Digital Strategy Networking Group for Mission-based Organizations, and an active member of the Professional Sales Advisory Board for The Sales Centre. Shaun earned an MBA with emphasis in web marketing and sales and a BBA in marketing and strategic leadership from Ohio University. Shaun joined Fisher on May 1, 2008. - Sean Wedig, Web Application Developer
Sean entered the professional world of software development in 2004, with a B.S. in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University. Post-graduation, he resided in Akron, Ohio, working for Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, developing CAD / CAE software for the early planning and development of automotive tires. There he developed a passion for engineering excellence, which continues to guide his career. He joined the Fisher College of Business in November of 2006, where he continues to rave atop soapboxes about good practices and principles while functioning as a application developer for a variety of the college's needs.
- Jason Hart, Web Support Specialist
Jason is a 2005 graduate of Miami University, where he obtained a degree in Management Information Systems from the Richard T. Farmer School of Business. Jason came to Fisher in November 2007 from the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, where his responsibilities included varying degrees of programming, technical support, and hardware maintenance. In addition to serving as Fisher's primary contact for website support, Jason helps with the occasional database or programming project.
- Aaron Petry, Web Applicaton Developer
Aaron joined Fisher College of Business in 2008 as a web application developer. He has a BA in History which was earned while working at Transportation and Parking services to help develop database-backed web sites to handle citation appeals, permit sales, and the myriad of other services that T&P offers. After that experience, he refined his web-development skills at the Ohio Resource Center. He has been working in IT at OSU for 10 years.
