Getting Started & Maintenance
Getting started with your student group website
- Identify which member(s) of your group will be responsible for maintaining the group’s website
- Updates to a student group’s directory listing at http://fisher.osu.edu/student-groups should be sent to webmaster@fisher.osu.edu
- Group’s web editors should familiarize themselves with the group’s website content. To find out if your group has a website, visit http://groups.cob.ohio-state.edu/. Review how is the content organized, how recently has it been updated, and how often the content should be updated.
- Group’s web editors should choose one person to contact IT Services through an email to webmaster@fisher.osu.edu with any questions or requests related to the group’s website
- IT Services requires confirmation from the group's advisor or a college staff member identifying which members of the student group should have editing rights for the group’s website. This can be as simple as an email to webmaster@fisher.osu.edu listing the group’s name and the names of the group’s web editors.
How to update and maintain your student group website
- IT Services strongly recommends that all Fisher student group websites be hosted on Fisher’s web server (http://groups.cob.ohio-state.edu/)
