Student Laptop Printing
This services allows graduate students who have registered their personal laptops for connectivity on the Fisher College of Business Wireless Network the ability to send print jobs to designated printers located in The Graduate Student Computer Labs in 015 and 208 Gerlach Hall. Graduate students can work anywhere within the service area of the Fisher Network and be able to send print jobs to the labs.
How do I connect my laptop to this service?
In the resource box on this page are links to instructions on how to connect your laptop to the designated printer. Choose the link for your computer's operating system.
Can I connect to these printers from home?
No. When you set up this connection you will need to be logged in to the Fisher Network.
Once I am connected to the printers can I print to them from my home?
No. Print jobs will only be sent to the printer successfully if you send them while you are connected to the Fisher Network.
Will printing to these printers deduct from my print quota?
Yes. Printing to these printers will deduct from you Fisher College of Business print quota. You will be charged $.02 per page (duplex).
Can I print to any other printers in the labs?
You can only access the printers designated for wireless printing from your personal laptop. The other printers in the Gerlach student labs are only accessible from the labs' desktop computers.
I'm connected to OSU Wireless. Why can't I print?
OSU Wireless is considered outside the bounds of the Fisher Network. If you switch your wireless connection to the Fisher Network your print jobs will be sent successfully.
What should I do if I have a problem?
Please send an email to helpdesk@fisher.osu.edu and include as much detailed information as possible. Wording from error messages and screen shots are very helpful. The more information you can include the more quickly we can assist you with the problem.
