Patching and Security - Anti-spyware

Per the OSU Minimum Computer Security Standard (MCSS), all OSU-owned and personal devices that connect to the OSU Network (OSUNet) must have an anti-spyware application installed. Besides being an explicit requirement of the MCSS, it's also just good sense.

Any OSU-owned computer setup by IT Services Helpdesk and connected to the Fisher Active Directory domain will have Microsoft Windows Defender installed and properly configured.

For all other computers, including personally-owned laptops, Spybot Search & Destroy for Windows is available to all faculty, staff, and students for free from the OSU Site Licensed Software page.

Microsoft Windows Defender is available as a free download from Microsoft.
