E-mail - Quota
Q: What is my e-mail quota?
A: For Faculty and Staff:
- Soft limit (warn only, mail will still deliver): 1.5 GB
- Hard limit (mail cannot be sent): 1.6 GB
- Hard limit (maximum critical, mail cannot be sent or received): 2.0 GB
A: For PhD and Graduate students:
- Soft limit (warn only, mail will still deliver): 700 MB
- Hard limit (mail cannot be sent): 800 MB
- Hard limit (maximum critical, mail cannot be sent or received): 1.0 GB
Q: I'm getting a message that my mailbox has exceeded size limits. What should I do?
A: You should start by deleting items that you know you will no longer need. Also make sure that you have emptied the Deleted Items and Junk E-Mail folders. You may also need to use the the AutoArchive feature of Outlook.
