2010 MBA Minority Case Competition

February 26-28, 2010

Competition Summary:

The Fisher College of Business Office of Minority Student Services will host the 2010 Minority MBA Case Competition VI, on February 26-28, 2010. KeyBank Foundation will supervise the selection of a contemporary and never-before-used case topic addressing business issues with diverse implications at either a national or international level. Teams of three, with one alternate from invited colleges will compete, with each student benefiting from the opportunity to develop important professional skills such as analyzing and responding quickly to often-complex business issues. These students will also hone their communication and team-building talents while learning from the expertise of business executive judges and moderators.

Teams will be asked to arrive at the Downtown Cleveland Marriott at KeyBank Headquarters on Friday, February 26th, by 3:00 pm eastern standard time. Registration and hotel check-in will be 3-5 pm. A team briefing and drawing of groupings and presentation times will be conducted from 5:30-6:30 pm. That evening, student teams, judges, Fisher College of Business hosts, and KeyBank Foundation sponsors, will be invited to enjoy a corporate networking reception sponsored by KeyBank Foundation from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Following the reception, each team will be allowed to practice for 45 minutes in designated and assigned classrooms. The competition begins Saturday morning at assigned times.

    Timeline
  • September 23, 2009: KeyBank Foundation Minority Case Competition Registration Begins
  • January 8, 2010: KeyBank Foundation Minority Case Competition Registration Ends
  • January 28, 2010: Case will be delivered to all registered teams
  • February 5, 2010: Case Teams Conference Call-In for Q&A
    • The mandatory conference call with KeyBank will take place on February 5th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM EST; Q&A will be allowed at this time. At least ONE team member is required to participate. The call will be recorded and available afterwards for replay for team members unable to participate at the time of the call.
  • February 11, 2010: Q&A Questions and Responses sent to all Teams
  • February 26-28 2010: KeyBank Foundation Minority MBA Student Case Competition VI
