7th Annual Fisher College of Business Diversity Business Awards
In order to recognize those in the corporate community who have done so much to further diversity goals, particularly those of the College, The Fisher College Community Diversity Advisory Board announces the
Fisher College of Business
Diversity Business Awards
Corporations and individuals may be nominated by anyone who has knowledge of contributions which support the College’s diversity efforts. Self nominations are acceptable provided they demonstrate connections with Fisher College. Nominations are also welcome for those who were nominated in the past. One award will be presented in the corporate category and one in the individual category.
Awards will be made based on one or more of the following:
- corporations and/or individuals who have been effective in outreach to diverse students by contributing to academic success through scholarships, sponsorships, classroom involvement and other activities.
- corporations and/or individuals who have helped to develop the professional advancement of diverse students through internships, mentorships, recruitment, and other career readiness activities.
- corporations and/or individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to community diversity outreach and efforts
- corporations and/or individuals whose hiring and retention practices have helped to create a more diverse workforce
- corporations and/or individuals who have initiated innovative programs which support the development of a more inclusive corporate culture
Each nomination must include full contact information for both the nominee and the nominating individual/organization. Nominations must also include a descriptive statement that clearly explains how the nominee has demonstrated the qualities listed above.
You may submit your nomination one of two ways:
- ONLINE: Submit your nomination statement online, provided you have no attachments and/or are able to cut and paste any supporting documentation. CLICK HERE to submit an online nomination.

HARDCOPY: If you have a large amount of information and/or you would like to include attachments with your nomination (biographical information, descriptive brochures, etc.) do not use the online form. Instead, submit your nomination packet with a cover sheet containing the contact information of both the nominator and the nominee; send the entire packet to the address below. The Awards will be presented at the Fisher College of Business 7th Annual Diversity Business Awards and Alumni Reunion on May 27, 2008. Deadline for nominations is March 28, 2008. (Current faculty, staff and students of the Fisher College are not eligible for nomination). A list of past award recipients is available here.
