Internship Success Stories
Cardinal Health
What impact or contribution do you feel you've made during your internship?
As far as impact goes, I would say that my biggest impact is on keeping Cardinal competitive in the market. The growth drivers I'm working on will ensure that Cardinal is one step ahead of customer demands. It will also aim to lower costs and increase revenue. - JoAnna Fu
What were your responsibilities?
This summer I have worked on several projects. Most of my energy has been devoted towards developing an intranet website for my department. I aided in coordinating a cross-functional team, planning and organizing the site, compiling content, and researching requirements. I actively participated in several company wide initiatives to leverage spend and volume of all of the Cardinal Health's business units by analyzing and consolidating data and creating databases. I also performed monthly reporting and reconciling functions by participating in the Corporate budgeting and forecasting process.

What was the most important thing you learned?
I've been at Cardinal now for over a year, and every day I've been here 'teamwork' has been the focus. In order for everything to run smoothly or to get out of tough situations, great teamwork is what makes it happen. I'm working with a great team right now in which everyone depends on and works with each other to achieve our group's goals.
