Kick Off Your 2011-2012 On-Campus Recruiting with the Fisher Fall Career Fair Career fair registration takes place through FisherConnect. If you have not already done so, you must first sign up to be an employer working with our office. See the FisherConnect page for details. Registration FeesRegistration fees include your display space and 6’ table, snacks and beverages throughout the day, and parking.
Maximize Your Exposure to Students When you log into FisherConnect to register for the fair, you will be provided the additional option to become a Corporate Sponsor. In addition to potentially having the fee waived for this fair (1-3 representatives), you can select your table location and you will also automatically receive the Increase Your Visibility package at no extra charge. Employers who cancel their paid registration by Friday, August 26, 2011, will receive a complete refund*. No refunds will be given to employers who cancel their paid registration after that date. To receive a refund, submit a written request to Pam Park-Curry by e-mail (park-curry.1@osu.edu). *If paying by credit card, you will be refunded your registration fee less the credit card processing fees. Parking & Columbus Traffic Parking will be available at the Ohio Union Garage located to the north of the Ohio Union and within a short walk of the Ohio Union. You may pull up to unload your materials and then you will be directed to the parking garage, All parking areas are strictly enforced and, therefore, we encourage representatives to arrive very early and park in the Ohio Union Garage. Parking passes are NOT required in advance. Representatives parking in the garage, will be given a “Parking Garage Voucher” that can be used when exiting the garage. A campus map and detailed driving directions can also be found on-line at www.osu.edu/map/ and enter 161 and search for the Ohio Union. To check on construction projects that can impact your travel in Columbus, go to www.pavingtheway.org. Please be aware that extensive construction will be taking place on SR 315 which will impact your arrival if you are entering campus via SR 315. Please check www.pavingtheway.org for more information. Food and Refreshments We will be serving a lite breakfast buffet from 8:30 - 10 AM in the Ohio Stater Traditions Room, before the Career Fair. From 12-2 PM a lunch buffet will be served. Sending Materials to the Ohio Union Prior to the Event If you have materials or a display that you want to send to Fisher prior to Fisher Fall Career Fair please send the materials to the address indicated below. To help in sorting all of the materials that arrive for event, please label all of your boxes with the following information:
Mail to: Questions about the arrival of your materials can be obtained through tracking your package with the carrier. Please be sure materials arrive no earlier than September 28th & no later than Friday September 30th. We also advise that you DO NOT overnight any materials from Friday to Monday. It has been our experience that the materials will not arrive on time. Click here for more information and a shipping label for your items. Sending Materials back to your office We have arranged with the Ohio Union to have Federal Express pick up your display/materials at the end of the day at the Fisher Fall Career Fair. If you use a different carrier, you can make prior arrangements for pick-up at the Ohio Union after the Event. Next Day Interviews Interviews will be held in the Great Hall MEeting Room in the Ohio Union on Tuesday October 4th. Employers, who are interested in conducting next day interviews, can purchase one or two tables in the Great Hall Meeting Room for $100 per table. To reserve a space, please note in FisherConnect through your registration. Spaces are limited. NOTE: Conducting interviews in the Great Hall Meeting Room may involve less privacy. Fisher Fall Career Fair 2011When: Monday October 3, 2011 Time: 10:30 a.m. - 4:30p.m.. Where: The Archie Griffin Ballroom (Second Floor) and The Performance Hall (First Floor) at The Ohio Union Cost: FREE! There is no cost to the fair this year. (see coat check below) Student Guidebooks: Click Here to Download the Student Guide! The student guides for the fair this year will ONLY be available at this website. These guides will include all company profiles plus tips for a successful career fair. There will also be a concise booklet provided to you at the fair with all the spreadsheets of companies and the specializations they are considering. These concise booklets will be free of charge and will also be available online next week as well as at the fair. Maps will only be available at the career fair. Prepare For The Career Fair: Click here to get tips on Preparing for the career fair! Fisher Connect: You can obtain complete information about each company including the positions they are recruiting for by logging into FisherConnect and going to the Career Events tab. You can even submit your resume on-line for select companies. Coat Check: There will be a coat check located on the 2nd floor where you can check your book bag or coat. The coat check will cost $1.00 per item so bring money if you plan to check your coat and/or book bag. Please note that the Career Fair will be on the FIRST AND SECOND floor of The Union this year, so make sure you check out all the employers! Since the Career Fair is located at the Union, we are providing Fisher students with a chartered CABS bus that will pick students up in front of Schoenbaum and Gerlach starting at 10:15. The bus will come every 15 minutes up to 4:45. The bus will say “Fisher Fall Career Fair.” Check FisherConnect under “Career Events” for more information including a list of companies attending the fair.
