Fisher 2009 Alumni Awards to be presented Oct. 23 at the Blackwell

Clayton Daley, Jr., William Yeack, Katherine Anne Mabe and Timothy B. Gallagher will be honored at the 2009 Dean’s Dinner and Alumni Awards on Friday, Oct. 23 in the Overmyer Ballroom at the Blackwell Inn. Since 1993, the Alumni Society of Fisher College of Business has recognized outstanding alumni, who have brought distinction to themselves and the college through their outstanding achievements as well as generously contributed time and resources to Fisher.
Clayton (Clayt) Daley
Daley, who retired as vice chairman and chief financial officer of P&G earlier this year after a 35-year career with the company, will receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award. He received his MBA from Fisher in 1979. Daley has served on the board of directors of several corporations and charitable organizations including, Nucor, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Dan Beard Council, the Boy Scouts of America and Cancer Family Care. His professional memberships has included the Financial Executives Institute, Financial Executives Research Foundation and Council of Financial Executives. His awards include Top CFO-Consumer Products, Institutional Investor magazine for the years 2004-2008.
Timothy Gallagher
Gallagher, who will receive the Young Professional Award, is a managing director for Goldman Sachs & Co, a global investment management and banking firm. Gallagher oversees a group of over 30 professionals in the firm’s America’s Financing Group in New York. Gallagher, who received his bachelor’s from Fisher in 1990, currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council.
Katherine Anne Mabe
Mabe, president and CEO of Titan Insurance Co. and division president for Specialty Products, a division of Nationwide, will receive the community service award. Mabe serves on the boards of the Columbus Museum of Art and the Columbus YWCA. A member of the Women Presidents Organization, Mabe is active in the YWCA Family Center for the homeless and serves as a mentor for many women at Nationwide and in the Columbus community.
William Yeack, CSE
The International Alumnus Award will go to William Yeack, who received his bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Fisher in 1980 and 1981, respectively. He currently serves as the executive vice president of corporate and business development for Integralis, a global information risk management solutions firm based in Ismanig, Germany. Yeack has had an extensive career in leadership positions in global business development including holding executive positions for Mozart Systems, Tandem Services Co. Exodus Communications and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). He received a gold medal for Best IT project in Australia from the country’s parliament.
