MBAs win Entrepreneur’s Choice Award at competition
Fisher College of Business MBA students delivered an outstanding performance at the Venture Capital Investment Competition held at the University of Texas at Austin. Fisher’s team of Ria Chakravorty, Michelle Salsberry, Burouj Ajlouni, Rashid Mammadov and Anirud Varadraj won the Entrepreneur’s Choice Award at the regional competition, and placed third overall.
The Venture Capital Investment Competition is designed to provide student experience in developing a real business plan from entrepreneurs currently seeking venture capital funding. The students evaluated and selected a business plan to invest in and negotiated deals and met with venture capitalist for feedback.
The team earned the right to represent Fisher and The Ohio State University after an internal competition hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship in November.
Faculty advisors were Daniel Oglevee and Robert Lane, both senior lecturers in the Department of Finance.
