Prud'homme receives university award for support of students
Andrea Prud'homme is recipient of this year’s Ohio State Career Services Award presented by University Career Services.
The Ohio State University Career Services Award recognizes university faculty and staff, in a non-career services position, who support student career development and career services programming.
Prud’homme, assistant clinical professor in the Department of Management Sciences, was nominated by Fisher’s Office of Career Management staffers, Margie Bogenschutz, senior director, undergraduate career management, and Mark Wilson, director, recruiter relations and technology.
The faculty advisor to the Buckeye Operations Management Society, Prud’homme received words of praise from students who are members of the club.
“Dr. Prud’homme has been extremely influential in the work of the Buckeye Operations Management Society (BOMS) and especially in the lives of the students involved in the organization,” said one member of BOMS, who submitted a letter of nomination. “She goes above and beyond to help the officer team develop programs to provide students with career opportunities with well-known companies such as JPMorgan Chase, Limited Brands, Dow Chemical, and Chrysler - just to name a few.”
“Some students (who) seek advice from Dr. Prud’homme worry about life events that are far out in the future,” said another member of BOMS. “She has a unique talent for getting us back to the present, and helping us to stay on track. Her advice and support are invaluable.”
