Accounting Report: Fisher programs rank in top 10

Fisher's undergraduate and Master in Accounting (MAcc) programs placed seventh and eighth, respectively, in the Public Accounting Report’s 31 st Annual Professors Survey. Among public universities, Fisher’s undergraduate program was ranked fourth and MAcc is fifth. Fisher PhD program moved up sixth places to 15.

An independent newsletter of the accounting profession, the publication's survey was completed by accounting professors and educators at universities across the nation.

"This ranking is important because it is an assessment that reflects the views of scholars and professors of accounting from across the nation,” said Waleed Muhanna, professor and chair of the Department of Accounting and MIS. "It is gratifying to see increased recognition of the quality of our programs by our peers around the country."

The Annual Survey of Accounting Professors seeks to measure accounting professors' perceptions regarding the programs curriculum as well as universities that consistently turn out graduates who are recruited by the top accounting firms and eventually attain partner status during their careers.
