Undergraduate advisors available for same-day appointments

Undergraduate Programs and Advising Office will provide same-day appointments to students on Fridays during the Autumn Semester.academic year. Students may sign-up for same-day appointments in the advising office in 120 Schoenbaum Hall beginning at 9 a.m. Daily appointments will likely fill up quickly, so it is important to plan ahead and come prepared. Students can still schedule regular advance appointments with advisors for Monday through Thursday. Semester conversion changes graduate programs class schedule

All Fisher graduate programs will function on a slightly different academic class calendar structure than The Ohio State University calendar. However, Fisher will use the university's system for registration, fee and add-drop deadlines. More information is available online.

Each semester will be divided into two seven-week terms. Daytime classes will meet twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays for a total of 14 class sessions, 90-minutes each. Classes that meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will meet for a total of 20 times in a seven-week term. Evening classes will meet one day a week for a total of seven class sessions.

Free textbooks available to students in Fisher’s Marketing Research and Analytics course 

MBA students taking Marketing Research and Analytics 7201 will receive their textbook free of charge.

Award-winning marketing professor, Greg Allenby, Helen C. Kurtz Chair in Marketing, the co-author of “Seven Summits of Marketing Research,” is making his newly published textbook available for free as a downloadable ebook. Allenby also teaches the course.

The book is available on the "Seven Summits" page on Fisher’s web site and also on Ohio State’s new Digital First, an online and mobile learning environment. Both Allenby’s book and Ohio State’s Digital First were born when faculty started redesigning the curriculum as part of the university’s transition from quarters to semesters. "Seven Summits" was selected as one of the first books to premiere on Digital First.

Fisher ITS provides new wireless printing service for students

Fisher students with mobile devices connected to OSU Wireless now have the ability to send print jobs to designated printers on Fisher’s campus. Wireless printers are located in Gerlach Hall 208 and Gerlach Hall 015 for graduate students only. For all students, printers are alsoavailable in Mason Hall 147, and Schoenbaum Hall 120. These printers allow users to utilize individual Fisher print quota from personal devices. The cost is nine cents per page.

In addition to printing in computer labs and wireless printing, students also have the option of making copies or scanning. Learn more about Fisher’s wireless printing service page.  

What’s new on the menu at Rohr Café

The Rohr Café, located on the first floor of Mason Hall, is marking the conversion to semesters and the beginning of Autumn Semester, by offering pumpkin lattes and two new cookies. M&M and double chocolate chip cookies will make a debut the first day of classes.

The Rohr Café, which opened in 2011, offers array of  light dining options, such as morning pastries and yogurts, and lunchtime selections of sandwiches, salads and soups. To get updates on daily menu items, follow the Rohr Café on Twitter @RohrCafe.
