Fisher EMBA places 20th in Wall Street Journal international ranking

Fisher's executive MBA program was ranked 20th worldwide by The Wall Street Journal, in its newest ranking that “measures which schools do the best job of turning up-and-coming managers into full-fledged leaders,” according to the business publication.

The survey results also included a ranking by corporations, which placed Fisher’s EMBA program at number 14 worldwide of the 25 programs ranked. According to the publication, the rankings are based on two surveys of students and corporations that are familiar with EMBA programs. The surveys were developed by Management Resource Group based in Portland, Maine. Questions focused on the effectiveness of the programs in developing management and leadership skills.

“Fisher’s Executive Education program is committed to delivering to our students and multinational corporations a world-class educational experience that develops leaders who are prepared for the challenges in today’s dynamic and uncertain business environment,” said Carol Newcomb, director of Fisher’s Executive Education. “It is extremely gratifying to learn that our graduates and their corporations have voiced their satisfaction in our program and provided affirmation that we are meeting their needs.”

One survey respondent told The Wall Street Journal that Fisher’s EMBA program "is a top notch program, very well structured in the class design, flexible schedule-wise, demanding academically."

The Journal quoted another respondent, who wrote: "The design of the courses push the book learning out of the classroom and provide for excellent discussion of the cases as well as other experiences brought to the class from the students. The level and variety of experience of the students adds a real richness to the courses."

Another respondent said: “The faculty, staff and administration at Ohio State were outstanding, and the curriculum was right on the mark."

Fisher’s Executive MBA 18-month program is taught by internationally recognized faculty who expertly help students develop strategic skills to become effective leaders in their organization and address immediate on-the-job challenges.
