|Former Hyperion CEO among new faculty at Fisher
Four new faculty members with world-class research and international business leadership experience joined Fisher for the new academic year. Among the new management educators is Jeffrey Rodek, the former CEO of Hyperion Solutions, Inc., recently acquired by enterprise software company Oracle.
Rodek, currently general partner with Accretive LLC, is a part-time senior lecturer in Management and Human Resources. Prior to Hyperion’s sale to Oracle, Rodek served as chairman and CEO of the business performance management software company and for the last three years he was the executive chairman of the board.
Under Rodek’s leadership, the company experienced a tremendous turnaround, improving performance and achieving record sales. The company was recognized as FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2004 and listed on the Forbes 200 Best Small Companies.
Benjamin A. Campbell, a former assistant professor of management at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, joins Fisher as an assistant professor of management.
In 2000, Campbell was a co-founder of GetSkilz, Inc., a provider of web-based training and management tools that help small businesses comply with government regulations. He also was a co-inventor of a modular computerized training regimen incorporating digital video.
A widely published researcher, Campbell earned his Ph.D. in economics at University of California, Berkeley and his bachelor's degree in mathematics at The Ohio State University.
Andrea Prud’homme joins Fisher as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Management Sciences and assistant director of the Center for Operational Excellence. A former adjunct faculty member at Colorado State University and most recently a teaching and research assistant at Michigan State University, her research expertise is in operations and supply chain management, logistics and international supply chain management.
She brings more than 15 years of corporate experience in worldwide supply chain management for companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Advanced Energy
Robert B. Lount, Jr. joins Fisher as an assistant professor of management and human resources. He formerly taught at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he earned his Ph.D and master’s degree in management and organizations. He also taught at the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
Professor Lount’s research examines ways to improve interpersonal decision making and group performance. His research has been published in such journals as Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
