The MBOE program is structured to provide intense periods of on-campus learning, followed with practical application of these concepts, through the integrative Capstone Project.
Each student is mentored individually on their project by a faculty coach throughout the program. The Capstone Project provides a substantive practical experience as the student completes a continuous improvement project based at their home company. By applying knowledge from the curriculum, receiving guidance from their faculty coach and encouragement from their company sponsor, each student translates classroom learning to business applicability.
Program Format
The MBOE program begins in December and you earn your degree in 12 months. This includes eight on-campus immersions punctuated by off-campus periods of homework, reflections and project work. Classes generally meet during the on-campus session from Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The MBOE program dates are set well in advance, making it very convenient to plan accordingly.
To keep you informed and in touch during your time away from campus, you have access to our interactive course delivery website known as Carmen. Homework assignments, project work and exams are administered through the website, meaning you can access and submit coursework from anywhere according to your schedule.
