Title: Vice President – Operational Excellence
Mari Cummins is responsible for the development and implementation of an enterprise approach to operational excellence and the pursuit of becoming a “Lean” enterprise.
Prior to this Mari spent over 20 years in the automotive industry. The last 10 years were in operations and operational improvement efforts at Delphi. Lean transformation and business enterprise transformation work were the focus of success. She spent 10 years at Eaton Corporation with various business roles including manager of business development and strategic planning of Eaton’s engine components operations.
Previously, she served as plant superintendent for Eaton’s lifter and cylinder head facility with responsibility for a foundry and two machining and assembly plants. She also spent several years in global supply chain management as well as customer service operations that included plant, engineering and purchasing activities, and a European assignment that focused on serving Ford Motor Company’s European operation. Before joining Eaton, Cummins was with a Tier 1 supplier of underbody stampings.
Cummins holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with concentration in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. She received a MBA, with core concentration in finance, from Eastern Michigan University. And she also graduated from Michigan State University’s Supply Chain Management executive seminar.
