Applicants for the Master in Business Logistics Engineering degree program must have completed (or will complete prior to enrollment) a baccalaureate degree which includes a strong quantitative background in calculus, linear algebra, and statistics from an accredited college or university. Applicants' academic record should demonstrate an ability to pursue graduate studies. The Ohio State University requires a 3.0 cumulative grade point average out of a 4.0 scale to be eligible for its graduate programs.
We urge you to start your application process early. Allowing time to fully prepare your application will enable you to devote sufficient resources and thought to each step without rushing yourself or the third parties who will write your letters of recommendation. Preparing your application is your chance to shine and distinguish yourself among your peers. Devoting time and thought to putting your best foot forward will be well worth your effort.
Our application process varies slightly for domestic and international applicants but in general requires similar core elements including:
Academic credentials and transcripts
Applicants must submit two official, unopened, original and certified copies of transcripts from every college or university they have attended. You are not required to submit official transcripts for any grades earned at The Ohio State University.
All applicants are required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) as either the GRE or GMAT is acceptable for program admission. While there is no minimum score to gain successful admission, prospecitve candidates will need to score at least in the 80th percentile on the quantitative portion of either test.
You are exempt from taking an English proficiency test such as, TOEFL, MELAB, or IELTS, if you have established citizenship in one of the following countries: Australia, Belize, British Caribbean, British West Indies, Canada (except Quebec), England, Guyana, Ireland, Liberia, New Zealand, Scotland, Wales, and The United States. US Green Card holders are exempt from taking the test if they have held the Green Card at least one year prior to their term of enrollment.
If you have received a 4 year bachelor's degree from one of the countries listed above, then you are also exempt from taking an English proficiency test. Please note: It is not required that you have your degree completed at the time you apply for admission. However, you must have completed your degree prior to your term of enrollment.
This is your opportunity to showcase your employment history, extracurricular and/or community activities, language skills, and military record, if applicable. The Master in Business Logistics Engineering program views work experience as desirable but not necessary.
