Francois entered the PhD Program in the fall of 2004. He holds a Commercial Engineering Degree from the University of Antwerp (Belgium), and a MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Francois Master's degree was funded through a Graduate Assistantship from the Center for Transportation Studies, where he worked on various private and public transportation and logistics projects. Francois also gained industry experience as consultant for ORTEC, an optimization software development company, working with companies such as Longview Fibre, Roadway Express, PittOhio Express, and Coca Cola Enterprises. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Logistics and his research interests include global transportation and logistics, and supply chain collaboration and information sharing.
