Summer Internship Programs

The International Programs Office offers students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience during Summer Internship Programs in different locations that are strategic to international business. With options to take a course in-country, students can earn 1.5 semester credits and work full-time with a multinational company. 

Australia Summer Internship Program

Gain internship experience while earning 1.5 semester credits in the Australia Summer Program. This eight-week offering will place Fisher undergraduate students in an unpaid internship with a global corporation located in Sydney, Australia, while participating in coursework for one of the following Fisher courses:  

  • Course 1:  International Business (BUSMHR 2000, 1.5 semester credits)
  •        OR (can only take one course)
  • Course 2:  Global Marketing (BUSML 4253, 1.5 semester credits) 

Hong Kong Summer Internship Program

Work for a company abroad while earning course credits in the Hong Kong Summer Internship Program. This eight-week program allows Fisher undergraduate students to earn up to 1.5 semester credits while working in an unpaid internship with a company in the Asian business hub of Hong Kong. Courses offered include:

  • Course 1:  Global Marketing (BUSML 4253, 1.5 semester credits) 
  •        OR (can only take one course)
  • Course 2: Building a Sustainable Supply Chain (BUSML 4385, 1.5 semester credits). 

New Zealand Summer Internship Program (NEW)

Gain valuable experience working for a company abroad while earning course credits in the New Zealand Summer Internship Program. This eight-week program allows Fisher undergraduate students to earn up to 1.5 semester credits while working in an unpaid internship with a company in Auckland, New Zealand.  Courses offered include:

  • Course 1:  International Business (BUSMHR 2000, 1.5 semester credits)
  •        OR (can only take one course)
  • Course 2:  Global Marketing (BUSML 4253, 1.5 semester credits) 

The Ohio Export Internship Program

Started in 2012 as a partnership between the Ohio Development Services Agency and the Fisher College of Business International Programs Office, the Ohio Export Internship Program (EIP) features a small, specialized export-focused course during the Spring Semester with a Summer internship placement with a small to medium Ohio business looking to increase their exports. EIP gives students the tools and network necessary to help a company jumpstart it's global business.
