Fisher has partnered with the Forté Foundation to provide higher numbers of women with access to business education and networking opportunities and to encourage women to pursue careers in business. Forté hosts many events throughout the year focused on the professional and career development of prospective female MBA candidates, current students and alumni.
Women Presidents' Organization (WPO)
In September 2009, Fisher College of Business became the exclusive educational sponsor of the Women Presidents’ Organization, which is committed to supporting and advancing the success of women entrepreneurs in the business community.
With 84 chapters on four continents (North America, South America, Europe and Africa), the WPO is the premier membership organization for multimillion-dollar businesses led by women.
National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA)
Fisher College of Business has been named the lead academic sponsor for the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) for its 2010 Conference in October. Dedicated to empowering women MBAs, NAWMBA works to propel women into leadership positions in corporate America and to enhance diversity in the nation’s workforce.
Fisher’s partnership with NAWMBA provides exceptional networking opportunities for Fisher students. Approximately 80 Fisher students will participate in career fair and professional development workshops at the conference. Students on the conference-planning team will participate in a leadership retreat focused on organizational and professional development.
