Michael Dean - MBA Class of 2016
Michael, a native of Ohio, enjoys telling people that he will be a “Triple Buckeye” upon completion of the MBA program. He graduated from The Ohio State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering in 2013 and 2014, respectively. As a graduate engineering student, Michael taught freshman engineering courses and conducted applied mechanics research. Before entering the MBA program, he interned with The Riverside Company, a leveraged buyout firm in Cleveland, conducting and analyzing market research for potential acquisitions. Currently, Michael is majoring in Finance and Strategy at Fisher in the hopes of launching a career in mergers and acquisitions. Michael loves playing and watching hockey, reading classic literature, making music on his piano, guitar, ukulele, banjo, and drums, being outdoors regardless of weather conditions, and spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends.
James Janis - MBA Class of 2015
James loves Ohio and loves the Buckeyes. He graduated from Ohio State in 2004 with an undergraduate degree in International Studies and Communication. After graduation, he spent two years as a legislative aide to a State Representative in Ohio. Before coming to Fisher, James lived in Washington D.C. for seven years working at the Department of Defense as a counterterrorism analyst which gave him a broader international perspective and a view of life on the east coast. Currently, James is pursuing an Operations and Logistics major at Fisher and in his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports (football, soccer, basketball, golf, tennis) and traveling the world.
Tim Kiss - MBA Class of 2015
Tim has lived in Ohio his whole life, growing up in Cleveland and moving to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University for undergrad. After completing his degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2008, Tim spent 5 years working for an international automotive supplier located in Dublin, OH as a software design engineer for in-vehicle control units. During this time, he lived and worked in Japan for 4 months. Tim is currently pursuing an Operations major at Fisher with a focus on Supply Chain and Logistics management. This past summer, he worked for Sears Home Services as a Parts Sourcing & Supply Chain intern.
Yiran Li - MBA Class of 2015
Yiran spent 5 years working as the Corporate Account Manager and Senior Sales Representative at Korean Airline Beijing Branch after graduation from Beijing International Studies University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. During working, she led two of the most important projects of the company, managed sales channels, and implemented several marketing promotion campaigns. She would like to take Marketing and Operation concentrations in the Fisher MBA program. Yiran enjoys travelling in her vacation time, and has been to ten countries in the past five years.
Lindsey Lorenz - MBA Class of 2015
Lindsey is an Ohio native and a double Buckeye. She grew up near Dayton, Ohio and received her undergraduate degree in strategic communication from The Ohio State University. Prior to beginning the MBA program, she was a merchant for Abercrombie & Fitch where she handled product management and development, planned seasonal assortments and developed strategies to maximize category sales and profit. In pursuit of a career in brand management, Lindsey decided to come to Fisher to focus on Marketing and worked at Wendy’s in brand management during her summer internship. She is also currently the president of the Fisher Association of Marketing Professionals (AMP) and Fisher Follies. She loves traveling, planning events, and plays sports year-round.
Peter Mccaffrey - MBA Class of 2016
Pete is a native of Columbus and is happy to be back after an extended period away. As an undergraduate, he studied Political Science and Latin American Studies at Wake Forest University and spent the majority of his free time there leading outdoor adventures through the outdoor programming office. Following graduation, Pete moved to Atlanta to begin his career with DHL / Exel Inc. in the supply chain & logistics field where he worked as a project manager until beginning the MBA program at OSU. At Fisher, he is studying Real Estate and Entrepreneurship and spends his free time rock climbing, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Aiswarya Ramamurthi - MBA Class of 2015
Aiswarya completed her undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai, India. She has more than three years of experience working at Cisco Systems as a network engineer involved in discovering, analyzing test strategies for Cisco products. She has also worked as a Stage and Production Manager and performed in an English theatre group in Bangalore, India. A certified degree holder in French, she is also the co-founder of a non-profit group that focuses on the education sector of rural areas in India. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, swimming and playing table tennis.
Camila Sena Da Silva - MBA Class of 2016
Camila is from Sao Paulo, Brazil. She got her degree in Fashion Design in Sao Paulo and she specialized in Image consulting in New York. She worked in her own image consulting business for over 5 years, consulting for individuals, corporations and retail businesses. She was also a teacher and events coordinator at NPO Cidadao Pro-Mundo, which provides English classes to low- income communities. Camila is a first year student and an ambassador at Fisher. She intends to concentrate her studies in Marketing and to pursue a career in Brand Management, preferably in the Fashion industry. "I chose Fisher because it is well-ranked school and Ohio is home to many retailers. But I think my final decision was made mainly based on the top-notch attention and commitment of the school staff that I got from the very first connection with the ambassadors, the Admissions office and the Career Management center; they are truly exceptional. Columbus, which is full of young professionals, fun things to do and leading corporations, but yet is a calm city, provides any student with a good balance and high quality environment for studying and pursuing a career", she says. In her free time Camila enjoys writing, going to music concerts and arts events, watching movies and hanging out with friends.
Sarah Sublett - MBA Class of 2016
Sarah grew up in Cincinnati and earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio State in 2012. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, as well as a Spanish minor. Prior to returning to Fisher, Sarah worked for Macy’s Inc. as a Credit & Loyalty Marketing Manager. She helped to manage the launch of two test loyalty programs and managed several credit marketing initiatives. Currently, Sarah plans to pursue a Marketing major at Fisher with a focus on Brand Management. She chose Fisher because it provides a small, customized program, but still connects you to a powerful network across the world. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys trying out new restaurants, watching football and traveling.
