Letters of Recommendation
Letters of Recommendation enable the MBA Admissions Committee to gain further insight into your personality, your character, and your potential for success in the MBA program and beyond.
Please select at least two individuals to serve as your references. A third letter of reference is optional. At least one of your letters of recommendation needs to be from a professional context. We encourage you to choose individuals to recommend you who can attest to your scholarship, professional development, leadership potential, and personal character.
If you believe that you are qualified for a prestigious University Fellowship, please submit three letters of recommendation for consideration.
We suggest that you ask these individuals to use our online recommendation system. If you decide to use the traditional paper recommendation letter, those recommending you should complete the paper reference form; attach a separate letter which is written and signed on academic or business letterhead; seal the content in an envelope; sign across the seal; and return it to you or mail it to the MBA Admissions office. Please advise individuals providing recommendations to use a plain envelope, if sent by mail.
Reference forms should be mailed to: MBA Admissions, 100 Gerlach Hall, 2108 Neil Ave, Columbus OH 43210-1144.
References will not be accepted if the envelopes have been opened, are unsigned, are not on letterhead, or do not include a contact number for verification.
If you are having trouble with the online recommendation system or need to make a change to a reference provided, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your full name and email address – specifically, the name and email address you used when you submitted your application. Also include your applicant ID number if available. In your email, include the name and email address of the reference you wish to include.
