Make Your Own Track

Are you interested in the fashion industry? Or in the biotech industry or in media and entertainment? Maybe you want to get some expertise in outsourcing and off-shoring? You can create your own career track according to your own interests utilizing the courses taught within the Fisher College of Business or from other colleges throughout Ohio State University.

Course Options

A student must complete four courses that include at least two departments or areas within Fisher or Ohio State.

Creative interdisciplinary career tracks recently completed by Fisher MBAs
  • Actuarial Science
  • Agriculture
  • Media Management
  • Non-Profit Management
  • Sports Management
  • Sustainability
  • Textiles

The process to submit a proposal for your own track is easy. Prepare a brief one-page proposal to the Graduate Programs Office that identifies the area of study (or names the track) and establishes the list of the four intended courses.

In Their Words

  • Leanne Gluck

"One of the reasons that I chose Fisher was because there was this great opportunity here to really customize your own curriculum and make your own major. I’ve never really taken a traditional path.

I’ve been in the non-profit fields for about eight years. And I really come from an entrepreneurial background. I really liked the idea that I could dip into different areas of the university and work with different professors to really customize an education that was right for me."
