MBA Scene: Note #1

Thanks for trying the MBA Scene!

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit the MBA Scene in the last week. You have joined a vibrant community of students, consultants, entrepreneurs, profs, execs and thinkers. We had visits from 34 separate countries around the world, and saw participation from top schools everywhere. A number of recruiters and folks currently in the workplace also checked in.

Why It Pays to Add Links and Rate Content

The MBA scene has just opened up and is based on cutting edge technology from Digital Knowledge Assets, a firm founded by two bright MBAs from Northwestern. I'd like to invite you to return again and participate at www.sceneserver.com (you will note the presence of other scenes as well there). After you go into the MBA Scene, consider adding a few links of your own. And by all means, rate the material that's already there. The scene will suggest material that's right for you based on preferences of those who like the same items you rated highly (a similar concept works at sites like Amazon and Firefly). You can also create your own tours and containers of sites that you like.

What's In the MBA Scene?

The MBA Scene is a web "place" where those interested in graduate business education can share links and ideas, pool resources and discuss topics such as program rankings, surviving business school, trends in business areas such as marketing, finance and e-commerce. The scene features over 300 contributions including the "HBS Inside Scoop" and the ongoing "investment banking vs. consulting" debate. Plus you'll find humor, postings of a wide variety of available jobs, GMAT help, links to oddball sites, spring break ideas and lifestyle tips.

This scene is an adventure for all of us. Take advantage of a unique, online community. Come in and participate!
