Pre-Examination Education Requirements
 

The Fisher School of Business at Ohio State offers each of the courses needed to obtain either a Salesperson’s License or a Broker’s License.

To become a Real Estate Salesperson the four necessary courses are:

  • BUS-FIN 670 - Real Estate and Urban Land Economics (Also known as Principles and Practices)
  • BUS-FIN 772 - Real Estate Finance
  • BUS-FIN 773 - Real Estate Valuation (also known as Appraisal)
  • BUS-FIN 775 - Real Estate Law

To become a Real Estate Broker the four necessary additional courses are:

  • BUS-FIN 510 - Legal Environment of Business (Also known as Business Law)
  • BUS-FIN 620 - Business Finance (Also known as Financial Management)
  • BUS-MHR 701 - Intro to Organizational Behavior (Also known as Human Resource or Personnel Management)
    Either
  • ECON 200 Principles of Microeconomics (Also known as Applied Business Economics)
    Or
  • ECON 201 Principles of Macroeconomics (Also known as Applied Business Economics)
