The Real Estate License Exam is offered through the Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing in the Ohio Department of Commerce. The Division has contracted with PSI licensure:certification (PSI) to conduct the examination testing. PSI provides the examinations through a network of computer examination centers in Ohio. The exam is broken up into two parts: a state section and a national section. The exam is taken on a computer. Candidates are given one hour for the state section and two hours for the national section.
To take the exam the candidate must submit the application (Available at www.com.state.oh.us/real), the Certificates of Completion and the appropriate exam fee (Currently $68 for both the national and state sections for the salesperson exam or $48 for one section) to the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing. The Division’s staff reviews the application and if it is approved the PSI mails a Candidate Information Bulletin. To become licensed the candidate must pass both parts of the exam within 12 months. There are two testing sites in Columbus and additional testing sites all over Ohio.
