"He is an expert on takeovers and LBOs. Prof. Varaiya also serves on the board of the Financial Executives Institute. His teaching experience has included the Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University in Dallas and the School of Business Administra tion, University of Washington in Seattle. He has also taught in executive programs of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. At present he teaches courses in competitive analysis and financial management in the MBA for Executives Program at San Diego State University, and in the Executive Challenge Program of the College of Extended Studies at SDSU. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award in the MBA for Executives Program."
