Partnerships between The Ohio State University and the local business community allow Engineering and Business students the opportunity to apply their LSS knowledge by working on real-time projects.  A win-win, these projects help the students gain project experience while helping local businesses with critical projects.
In this session, the students will share their key learning’s from their projects:

  • Luxxotica (Remake reduction)
  • Smiths (QA OT reduction)
  • Diamond Innovations (Yield loss reduction)
  • Mondi (Operational Improvement project)
  • Allied Mineral Products (Logistics project)

Students in the Integrated Systems Engineering (ISE) program at Ohio State have the opportunity to study and obtain Lean Six Sigma Certification under the direction of Dr. Scott Sink, Executive in Residence in the ISE program and Director of Lean Sigma Certification in OSU's College of Engineering.
 
Students in the Fisher MBA Program study Lean Six Sigma under the direction of Peg Pennington, Executive Director of the Center for Operational Excellence and Operations faculty member.
