What types of employees are most likely to leave, what types of firms are they most likely to join, and what are the competitive ramifications for the focal firm’s performance? Entrepreneurship influences and outcomes are important economic factors, however, most economists’ research and models have not accounted for entrepreneurship in a holistic view of economic change and growth.
Professor Ben Campbell's research focuses on the attraction, retention and development of human capital in entrepreneurial firms and how human capital strategies impact firm performance in entrepreneurial environments. He is currently serving as a chair of the Early Career Development Committee of the Sloan Industry Studies Program and is a founding member of the Human Capital Conference. Professor Campbell earned his PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from The Ohio State University.
