The Visiting International Professional (VIP) program at The Ohio State University is a unique program specifically designed to meet professional interests and goals of the international business executive/manager and the company’s special project needs.
VIPs audit a selected number of courses in the Fisher College of Business and receive a certificate for their course of study signed by the Dean of the College.
A faculty member acts as an academic advisor to the selected VIP throughout the course of study. In addition, an administrative staff member is assigned to assist with other tasks, including those involved with adjusting to life in the United States.
VIP participants may design a course of study for a period of two quarters or up to one year.
Who Should Attend: Participants are selected competitively on the basis of the applicant’s needs and the resources available at Fisher. VIPs may start this program Winter quarter (beginning the first week of January) or Summer quarter (beginning the third week of June).
Applicants are advised to apply as soon as possible to attend classes, since a maximum of 10 VIPs may participate each quarter.

The fee per quarter for each participant during the academic year is $8,000. Each quarter beyond two quarters costs an additional $5,000 per participant. Quarterly costs for insurance, books and supplies, and similar expenses range from $300 to $400. Living expenses are estimated at $16,000 for one year. Health insurance is required for all international students attending The Ohio State University; however, since Executive Education is a non-traditional program, Ohio State Student Health Insurance is not available.
