Biography
Professor Nutt’s research on management decision making has been widely published, with more than 100 articles in journals such as Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Management Review Journal and the Academy of Management. It also is widely
covered by the national business press.
Dr. Nutt is a fellow of the Decisions Sciences Institute and has received numerous awards for his articles, including
the Academy of Management Journal’s Hall of Fame award, three Best Theoretical/Empirical Paper awards from the Decision Sciences Institute and three Academy of Management awards for best article.
Dr. Nutt serves on several editorial boards, including the Strategic Management Journal, and has written several books, including The Strategic Management of Public and Third Sector Organizations, which received a Distinguished Book Award from the Academy of Management, Making Tough Decisions and Why Decisions Fail.
He taught executive education and graduate-level courses at Fisher College and internationally.
