MHR 868 Contemporary Employment Practices and the LawG4
The purpose of this course is to provide a broad spectrum of information that will be helpful to each of you, both as employers and as employees. Employment Law is a generic name given to the variety of more specific legal concepts affecting the employment relationship. It is impossible to learn even a fraction of all there is to know about the topic of employment law inonly a single quarter, however by the end of the quarter, you will have a fundamental understanding of the basic legal issues associated with the employment relationship. Topics such as Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Age Discriminationin Employment Act, The Civil Rights Act of 1967,and federal affirmative action program are discussed.
