BA 799 - Business Policy - Winter and Spring Quarters MHR 807 - Organizational Development and Change - Winter Quarter A practical and pragmatic investigation into the principles for designing organizations for performance based on a network perspective. MHR 809 - Reengineering the Corporation - Autumn Quarter MHR 809 examines foundational issues in the reengineering of an organization’s many "performance" systems and the management of those systems. Rather than a survey course, MHR 809 is intended to provide the student with a generic framework and understanding of the primary issues involved in reengineering and change. The material presented is designed to be, and has been shown to be, pragmatic and effective in the redesign of different organization systems. MHR 834 - Mastery In Execution Execution is the heart of management. Yet, until recently, execution has been in the background of management, taken for granted, dismissed as obvious, even considered mundane in the face of creating new strategies, visions, and projects. But, in the absence of execution, there is no implementation of strategy, no fulfillment of visions, and no accomplishment of projects. Without execution, there is only failure. It is not surprising therefore, that execution is being considered a source of competitive advantage – both personally and organizationally.
MBA 860 - Advanced Organizational Behavior and Management - Autumn Quarter
MBA 860 is an inquiry into the practice of management. Standing inside the question "Is Management Missing?", it explores a variety of issues dealing with what causes performance in organizations and the contribution of management in generating that performance. These issues are organized around the primary theme of "bringing management to" so as to improve productivity, effectiveness, and relationship in organizations. Throughout the quarter, we will be looking at what it means to bring management to a particular project and how management can expand not only your own power and effectiveness, but the effectiveness of others as well. |
