Prereq: 2290 and 2291, or BusAdm 499; and BusMHR 3200 (701), BusFin 3220 (620), 3500 (510), BusMgt 3230 (630), and BusML 3250 (650); and Sr standing; and enrollment in Fisher College of Business. Not open to students with credit for BusAdm 799. Not open to students in UUSS, UEXP, or PREBSBA-PR.

BUSMHR 7414 - Vertical Integration and Diversification

A study of corporate strategies, actions firms take to gain competitive advantages: strategies studied will include vertical integration, outsourcing, and firm performance. Course introduces concepts associated with transaction cost economics, resource-based view, and real options as applied to vertical integration and diversification decisions.
Prereq: Enrollment in MBA or WPMBA, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 839.
