Internships

Most Accounting Honors students will participate in the Winter Internship Program. The program serves students who wish to experience a busy audit or tax season first-hand before graduation! Students may gain winter internship experience by working locally in Columbus or gaining internships across the country. The Winter Internship Program has seen our Accounting Honors students go to Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, and many other locations.

Please contact Professor Prakash Mulchandani, Director of the Winter Internship Program, for more information.

Student Cole Ferguson explains, "I am doing a winter internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta. The Accounting Honors Program gives me the flexibility to take my winter quarter off for a senior year internship.

I feel it is very important to gain internship experience before I graduate. I've had a previous internship, but I wanted to experience a busy season in a Big 4 firm. My winter internship will be the spring board for my full-time career in audit. I'm looking forward to working in another city and learning the ropes."

Many Accounting Honors students are choosing to do summer internships as well. These are arranged directly with the public accounting or corporations through the Fisher College Undergraduate Programs Office. The Career Management webpage is a good place to start looking. This is especially true of those students who plan to enroll in the Masters of Accounting Program.
