Graduation with Honors in Accounting
What are the requirements to graduate with an Accounting Honors diploma?
All BSBA graduates receiving "honors in accounting" must successfully complete the following requirements:
- Holding a 3.50 cumulative GPA at graduation
- Holding a cumulative GPA in Accounting of at least a 3.50 at graduation
- Completion of at least 8 courses from those in the Accounting Honors Track: AMIS H211, H212, H519, H520, H525, H531, H624, H626, and H627.
- At least 90 hours of graded cousework in residence at the Columbus campus.
- Completion of 1 honors course (or equivalent*) in an area other than Accounting with A/A-.
* Substitution of equivalent courses for honors courses should be rare occurrences. Only courses that are clearly in excess of the regular undergraduate requirements are considered (e.g. Math 161 in lieu of Math 131). The Honors Directors will determine equivalent courses for programs under their jurisdiction on an individual basis.
