Biography
Shail Pandit earned his Ph.D. in accounting at the University of Rochester. Before coming to Fisher College, Shail was an assistant professor at the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. In 2004, he was an accounting lecturer at the Simon Graduate School of Business of the University of Rochester.
Shail's research interests and expertise relate to the use of financial information in capital markets with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&As), security analysts and institutional investors. His dissertation examines accounting choice, stock market reaction and long-term operating performance in acquisitions.
In the past, Shail has worked in the Finance division of an equipment leasing company, sold computers and IT equipment, and taught at the University of Indore in India.
