Areas of Expertise
Biography Prior to joining the Fisher College of Business in 2002, Mr. Turner spent 26 years in public accounting and was an audit partner with Arthur Andersen LLP. He served as overall engagement partner and provided financial statement audit, consultation and other attestation and assurance services to numerous public and closely-held companies. While at Andersen, he taught several internal and external training seminars and gave numerous accounting and financial reporting presentations to client audit committees, boards of directors and management. In addition to his engagement responsibilities, Turner also served as the partner-in-charge of the audit practice in the Columbus, Ohio office. He is a certified public accountant, a certified fraud examiner and a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Turner teaches courses in both the undergraduate and Masters of Accounting programs. He also has taught seminars on corporate governance, internal controls and Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations through Fisher College’s Executive Education program. In addition, he teaches training for new audit staff professionals for one of the Big 4 accounting firms. |
