Biography

Karen L. deLaubenfels is a Certified Public Accountant and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in taxation, financial accounting, and governmental/non-profit accounting. Before joining The Ohio State University, she taught managerial accounting, financial accounting, fraud investigation and detection, and business calculus at Ohio Dominican University, Franklin University, and Ohio University.

Karen has a private practice in public accounting, serving clients in the Columbus area in a variety of industries, and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Before beginning her practice, Karen worked as a tax staff consultant for Deloitte.

As a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Karen is an active volunteer in community projects and professional activities.
