Biography Jennifer Altamuro has joined the department of Accounting and Management Information Systems as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. Jennifer comes to the Fisher College having recently served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of technology. She has a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University, in Philadelphia, PA. Her industry experience includes five years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the audit and business assurance practice, working primarily with healthcare, pharmaceutical, and chemical companies. Jennifer’s primary research interests include 1) financial accounting, 2) the impact of accounting regulations on managerial decision making and 3) the ability of regulators and standard setters to influence the quality of financial reporting. Jennifer’s research has been published in the Accounting Review, and she has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for the American Accounting Association and The Journal of Accounting and Economics. |
