FISHER’S BPM DEFINITION
Fisher’s Center for Business Performance Management (BPM) is a membership community where business leaders, faculty and students converge to advance the body of knowledge surrounding BPM. BPM is a concept that spans many areas within an organization. For the purposes of our Center, we define BPM as the integration of performance data, management processes and business systems to support leaders in making effective decisions and executing those decisions. By enabling insights, BPM drives improved execution via accountability and transparency. Fisher’s BPM definition includes the following components:
- Business Planning & Analysis (strategic, financial, ops, human capital, modeling)
- Insight Delivery & Decision Support (Scorecards, Dashboards, Briefing Books, Visualization)
- Business Intelligence & Reporting (consolidation, data infrastructure, hierarchy management, MDM)
- Process Engineering (Business Process Mgmt, Six Sigma, Lean)
- Org Effectiveness & Change Mgmt: Execution via Functional Integration (Finance, Sales, Ops, HR)
- BPM Technology & Service Solutions

Provide the global forum for thought leadership related to the Business Performance Management body of knowledge that empowers leaders from industry, faculty and students to integrate business and academic insights while driving continuous improvements in the BPM space

Deliver membership benefits, events, networking opportunities, access to BPM trained talent, academic curriculum and research to advance the business performance management body of knowledge
