Haven't seen any posts from a few of the authors lately.
Heard that several people pulled all-nighters (literally) with the OB case. Well, guess what: we're going to see the same case in Econ this week!
I'm undecided whether to prioritize a TV or a real cell phone in my purchases.
The unspoken thought that made GO choke with laughter was "So I heard that N had just as good a performance as your candidate".
Speaking of which, so far Sunday pickup soccer has failed miserably.
I know it's been a while, loyal readers /skimmers! As I'm sure you've realized from other bloggers, one of the two really excellent times during a quarter is just wrapping up - MIDTERMS! To satisfy your curiosity, the other really excellent time is FINALS!
Of course, I'm being slightly sarcastic, but in truth, it is exciting to show all the professors what I've learned so far. And the feeling once all the midterms are over... nearly priceless.
So let's have a recap of what's been happening recently.
The good news:
This post is a bit delayed but I just had to write something about it.
As the title suggests, I have never had Halloween before. At first, I didn’t know if I should attend it or not. But listening to my classmates plan their costumes made me want to go just to see them. It didn’t matter what I wore. I actually did not have a costume until 5 pm before the party.
It was great! I really enjoyed seeing everyone’s costumes. My favorite, as was everyone else’s, was Pillsbury Doughboy. I took his photo the moment he walked through the door.
If you were thinking this post was going to be about Carmen, Ohio, you are wrong. It is about daylight-saving time (DST). Modern DST was proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson. He presented a paper to the Wellington Philosophical Society proposing a two-hour daylight-saving shift. He was an entomologist and an astronomer and realized the importance of having extra daylight in the afternoon.
Back by popular demand, I am bringing you another "Day in the Life of an MBA Student" post! But wait, don't miss this special edition as today (well...yesterday at this point), November 1st 2009, is the "fall back" half of the daylight savings time shift. Yes folks, today you get 25 hours for the price of 24! Act now!
Midnight - spending time at a Columbus Area establishment celebrating Halloween with some of my friends from St. Xavier High School, including one who is home on leave from the Marine Corps before departing for Afghanistan. Good times.
