Executive Programs

Enhancing Connections

Working in partnership to find business solutions, Fisher College has broadened and deepened its relationship with Cardinal Health. Faculty developed learning experiences tailored to specific needs within various divisions of the international health-care company, including mentoring skills to rising managers, marketing skills to a new division and leadership education to upper management. Marketing Professor Leslie Fine taught service excellence to executives as part of the Cardinal Leadership Forum, while Dr. Anthony J. Rucci (left), Cardinal EVP and chief accounting officer, served as a guest lecturer and instructor for an MBA course on corporate leadership.

Respecting Governance

In response to the current financial reporting environment for public companies, Fisher’s new Corporate Governance program helps managers be proactive in implementing SEC, NASDAQ and NYSE rules while handling the expectations of investors.

Debating Issues

Fisher’s popular Nationwide Breakfast Club offers business executives free programs highlighting current business topics including Six Sigma, product development, strategic diversity management, sustainability and the global marketplace. About 100 executives each session benefit from lively discussions featuring industry leaders such as Coca-Cola Company Vice President Juan Johnson.

Solving Problems

Through Fisher’s new CIO Solutions Gallery, IT executives collaborate in small groups, share real-life issues and discuss solutions. The program helps participants further develop a peer network within the IT industry, while providing best practice applications. Internationally known IT industry futurist Thornton A. May leads the CIO Solutions Gallery, which features national IT leaders including: Jim Ditmore, CTO, Bank One; Paul Gaffney, CIO, Staples, Inc.; Jay Gardner, CIO, BMC Software; Lynn Jacobs, former CIO, DreamWorks; Maryfran Johnson, editor-in-chief, Computerworld; Doug Schwin, CIO, Hasbro; Geoff Smith, former deputy CIO, Procter & Gamble; Kathy Starkoff, CTO, Limited.
